I have heard it said that prayer is one of the best gifts a mother can give her child.\u00a0As homeschooling moms, we continually bring our children before the Lord.\u00a0We pray without ceasing.<\/p>\n

For what do we pray; most certainly that\u00a0they will receive the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n
We pray, Ephesians 6:1-3 \u201cChildren, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.\u00a0Honor your father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou may live long on the earth.\u201d<\/p>\n
We pray,\u00a01 Corinthians 10:31 \u201cWhether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatsoever you do, do all to the glory of God.\u201d<\/p>\n
We pray, Proverbs 3:5-6 \u201cTrust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.\u201d<\/p>\n
We diligently pray the promises of the Lord for our children.<\/p>\n

My children are grown now\u00a0and\u00a0I am blessed to be called\u00a0Baaba, an endearing name for\u00a0grandma.\u00a0And\u00a0I still pray without ceasing.\u00a0In recent years, I came across a\u00a0set of\u00a0books by Kathleen Nielson, Prayers of a\u00a0Parent Series\u00a0–\u00a0Prayers of a Parent for Young Children,\u00a0Prayers of a Parent for Teens,\u00a0Prayers of a Parent for Young Adults, and\u00a0Prayers of a Parent for Adult Children.\u00a0Each of the four books has 31\u00a0scripture\u00a0texts, 31 meditations, and 31 beautiful prayers to pray for your child.\u00a0These prayers\u00a0are God-centered and gospel-rich\u00a0and\u00a0have wonderfully expanded my prayers for my children.\u00a0Because we are praying the Word of God,\u00a0my husband and I\u00a0are\u00a0assured that we\u00a0are\u00a0praying\u00a0in accordance to\u00a0the will of God for\u00a0our arrows that have been released to serve the Lord.<\/p>\n
